The U7-Pro-Outdoor (U7 Pro Outdoor) is a professional, all-weather outdoor WiFi 7 access point purpose-built for mission-critical outdoor deployments where maximum range, extreme weather durability, and software-configurable antenna patterns are essential. Measuring 170 × 208 × 66.5 mm (6.7 × 8.2 × 2.6") without mount and weighing 1.2 kg (2.6 lb) device-only or 1.33 kg (2.9 lb) with mount, the U7-Pro-Outdoor ships with wall and pole mounts included — supporting pole diameters of 1–2.5" (25–63.5 mm) — and features an articulation mounting bracket for precise directional antenna alignment. The UV-stabilised polycarbonate and aluminium alloy enclosure carries IPX6 weatherproofing as standard and upgrades to full IP67 with the optional cable-gland door kit — providing complete dust-tight and submersion-resistant protection for the most exposed outdoor East African environments. Requires UniFi Network version 9.0.114 and later, setup supported via UniFi iOS (version 10.20.2 and later) and Android (version 10.21.7 and later) apps.

The U7-Pro-Outdoor delivers dual-band WiFi 7 (802.11be) with 6 spatial streams across 5 GHz with 4×4 DL/UL MU-MIMO reaching 8.6 Gbps (BW240) and 2.4 GHz with 2×2 DL/UL MU-MIMO reaching 688 Mbps (BW40). The standout capability is the software-switchable antenna system — operators can switch between the integrated directional super antenna (11 dBi, 90° × 45° on 5 GHz / 8 dBi, 90° × 90° on 2.4 GHz) for targeted long-range coverage reaching 465 m² (5,000 ft²) in open spaces, and the included external omnidirectional antennas (8 dBi, 360° × 15° on 5 GHz / 6 dBi, 360° × 15° on 2.4 GHz) for 360° area coverage — all without physically changing hardware. Maximum TX power of 29 dBm on 5 GHz and 23 dBm on 2.4 GHz delivers exceptional outdoor signal penetration and range. Supported data rates span 7.3 Mbps to 8.6 Gbps on 802.11be WiFi 7 (MCS0–MCS13 NSS1/2/3/4, EHT 20/40/80/160/240), 7.3 Mbps to 4.8 Gbps on 802.11ax WiFi 6 (MCS0–MCS11 NSS1/2/3/4, HE 20/40/80/160), 6.5 Mbps to 3.4 Gbps on 802.11ac WiFi 5 (MCS0–MCS9 NSS1/2/3/4, VHT 20/40/80/160), and 6.5 Mbps to 300 Mbps on 802.11n (MCS0–MCS15, HT 20/40).

Advanced wireless features include wireless meshing, 802.11r fast roaming, 802.11k Radio Resource Management (RRM), 802.11v BSS Transition Management, band steering, advanced radio management, and Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0). Captive hotspot portal capabilities include custom branding landing pages, voucher authentication, payment-based authentication, external portal server support, and password authentication — ideal for outdoor hospitality areas, sports venues, and public WiFi deployments across East Africa. Additional features include guest network isolation, Private Pre-Shared Key (PPSK), WiFi speed limiting, client device isolation, WiFi schedules, RADIUS over TLS (RadSec), and dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLAN.

Wired connectivity is provided via (1) 1/2.5 GbE RJ45 uplink port powered by PoE+ (42.5–57V DC) at a maximum of 21W. The system LED array includes (1) power indicator in White/Blue and (4) mesh signal LEDs in Blue. Management via Ethernet.
