DATASHEET

About the LTU Long-Range

The LTU-LR (LTU Long-Range) is a 5 GHz PtMP LTU wireless client featuring a large integrated antenna for 30+ km subscriber connections — purpose-built for rural and semi-urban East African WISP networks where subscriber premises are located far from the LTU Rocket base station. Measuring 512.5 × 385.75 × 258.3 mm (20.2 × 15.2 × 10.2") and weighing 1.4 kg (3 lb) without or 1.7 kg (3.8 lb) with mount in a UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure with included pole mount kit. IPX6 weatherproofing. 200 km/h wind survivability with 550 N wind loading. ±24 kV air/contact ESD/EMP protection. Operating temperature: -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F). Fully NDAA compliant. Compatible with LTU devices only.

The LTU-LR operates across the wide 4800–6200 MHz worldwide frequency range delivering 900+ Mbps maximum throughput (FW 2.3.0 and later) over 30+ km links with 26 dBi integrated antenna gain and 22 dBm maximum conducted TX power per chain. Channel bandwidth of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80/100 MHz with configurable uplink/downlink ratio (25/75, 33/67, 50/50). Software features include airView, speed test, alignment, discovery, ping, traceroute, cable test, constellation, auto distance and power adjustment, SNMP, SSH, dynamic DNS, remote log, ping watchdog, Bluetooth management via UISP App. Operates in PtMP CPE and PtP modes (PtP from firmware 1.5.1 and later). Bridge and router mode. WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption.
Additional specifications:
  • CE, FCC, and IC certified, fully NDAA compliant

Ideal for long-range rural subscriber connections, WISP last-mile access, ISP CPE deployments, 30+ km PtMP coverage, and wireless deployments across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring 5 GHz LTU CPE performance with 26 dBi gain, 900+ Mbps throughput, 30+ km range, IPX6 weatherproofing, and LTU Rocket base station compatibility.
