The
LTU-XR is a
5 GHz LTU wireless client purpose-built for the most extreme long-distance subscriber connections in East African WISP networks — delivering
900+ Mbps throughput over 30+ km links using Ubiquiti's proprietary LTU technology that surpasses the limitations of standard 802.11 Wi-Fi. The large integrated antenna measures
747 × 525 × 347 mm (29.4 × 20.7 × 13.7") and weighs
3.2 kg (7.1 lb) in an
aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure with UV-stabilised polycarbonate mount and integrated pole mount supporting
⌀35–60 mm (⌀1.4–2.4") pole diameters.
Wind loading of 1,100 N at 200 km/h (247.29 lbf at 125 mph) requires a robust pole or tower installation.
IPX6 weatherproofing.
Operating temperature: -40°C to 55°C (-40°F to 131°F). Fully
NDAA compliant.
Compatible with LTU devices only.
The
LTU-XR operates across
5.15–5.95 GHz delivering
900+ Mbps maximum throughput (FW 2.3.0 and later) with
29 dBi integrated antenna gain, 5.5° HPOL/VPOL/elevation beamwidth (3 dB), 25 dBm maximum conducted TX power, and 20 dB isolation.
Channel bandwidth of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80/100 MHz (FW 2.3.0 and later) with
configurable uplink/downlink ratio (25/75, 33/67, 50/50). Software features include
airView, speed test, alignment, discovery, ping, traceroute, cable test, constellation, auto distance and power adjustment, SNMP, SSH, dynamic DNS, webserver, remote log, and ping watchdog.
Bluetooth management via UISP App and web UI. Operates in
PtMP CPE and PtP modes (PtP from firmware 1.5.1 and later). Bridge and router mode (router available in PtMP CPE mode only).
WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption.
Additional specifications:
- FCC, IC, and CE certified, fully NDAA compliant
Ideal for
long-range rural broadband, WISP subscriber connections, ISP last-mile access, extreme long-distance PtMP deployments, and remote site connectivity across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring
maximum range 5 GHz LTU client performance with 29 dBi gain, 900+ Mbps throughput, 30+ km coverage, and LTU Rocket base station compatibility.
