Line-rate performance for its class The ER-10X is rated for up to 260,000 packets per second at 64-byte packet sizes, and line-rate 1 Gbps forwarding at larger packet sizes. For typical small-office or branch traffic profiles, this keeps the router from becoming the bottleneck on a Gigabit internet connection.
PoE input and passthrough for flexible power A 24V passive PoE input lets the ER-10X itself be powered over Ethernet where a nearby power outlet isn't convenient, while a separate PoE passthrough port can power one downstream device, such as an access point, without needing its own injector. This is useful in wiring closets or outdoor cabinets where minimising the number of separate power adapters matters.
