The
RP-5AC-Gen2 (airMAX Rocket Prism 5AC) is a
high-performance 5 GHz basestation radio featuring the proprietary
airPrism active RF filtering technology — a three-stage filtering design that provides superior noise rejection over standard RF filtering, enabling reliable high-throughput PtMP and PtP operation even in high-interference environments common across East African urban and semi-urban tower deployments. In a compact
die-cast aluminium enclosure measuring 88 × 40 × 230 mm (3.5 × 1.6 × 9.1") and weighing just
400 g (14.1 oz), the RP-5AC-Gen2 ships with a
pole mounting kit included and accepts external sector antennas via
(2) RP-SMA waterproof RF connectors.

The
RP-5AC-Gen2 operates across
5150–5875 MHz worldwide delivering
500+ Mbps throughput to 50+ simultaneous clients in access point mode.
PtP channel sizes of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80 MHz and PtMP channel sizes of 10/20/30/40 MHz with Ubiquiti-specific features including
30/50/60 MHz channels, airMAX ac mode, traffic shaping with burst support, frequency band offset, and Ackless mode.
Integrated GPS synchronisation via external magnetic base GPS antenna enables multi-sector co-location without inter-sector interference. The
dedicated spectral analysis radio provides real-time RF monitoring. Software features include
WPA2 AES security, QoS with WMM, DHCP, NAT, bridging, routing, airMagic, airView, antenna alignment, site survey, ping, traceroute, and speed test. Powered via
passive PoE 2-pair at 9.5W maximum (18–27V DC) with included
24V, 1A gigabit PoE adapter.
