About the airMAX Lite AP GPS
The LAP-GPS (airMAX Lite AP GPS) is a powerful and affordable 5 GHz GPS-synchronised sector access point combining an integrated 17 dBi antenna, GPS synchronisation for multi-sector co-location, dedicated spectral analysis radio, and 50+ client capacity in a lightweight outdoor unit purpose-built for East African WISP and ISP tower deployments. Measuring 361 × 129.6 × 71.3 mm (14.2 × 5.1 × 2.8") and weighing 752 g (1.66 lb), the LAP-GPS delivers competitive price-performance for rural broadband coverage across Kenya, Uganda, and the wider East and Central Africa region. 200 km/h wind survivability with 77 N wind loading. ETSI 300-019-1.4 shock and vibration testing. ±24 kV air/contact ESD/EMP protection. Operating temperature: -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F). Fully NDAA compliant.
The LAP-GPS operates across 5150–5875 MHz worldwide delivering 450+ Mbps throughput to 50+ simultaneous clients over 12+ km links with 17 dBi integrated antenna gain and 25 dBm maximum TX power. Integrated GPS synchronisation enables multiple LAP-GPS units on the same tower to synchronise their transmit/receive timing — eliminating self-interference between co-located sectors and significantly improving performance in multi-sector WISP tower deployments across East Africa. The dedicated spectral analysis radio enables real-time RF environment monitoring. Powered via passive PoE 2-pair at 7.1W maximum (20–27V DC) with included 24V, 0.3A gigabit PoE adapter.
Additional specifications:
Ideal for WISP PtMP infrastructure, ISP sector base stations, rural broadband coverage, subscriber access networks, and PtMP deployments across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring affordable 5 GHz GPS-synchronised sector access point performance with 17 dBi gain, 450+ Mbps throughput, 50+ client capacity, and dedicated spectral analysis.
