The
PBE-5AC-Gen2 (airMAX PowerBeam 5AC Gen2) is a
high-performance 5 GHz Point-to-Point wireless bridge combining an integrated 25 dBi dish reflector, airMAX ac chipset, dedicated spectral analysis radio, and dedicated WiFi management radio in a single weatherproof outdoor unit for East African wireless backhaul and connectivity deployments. Measuring
420 × 420 × 230 mm (16.5 × 16.5 × 9.1") and weighing
2.2 kg (4.9 lb), the PBE-5AC-Gen2 features a
UV-stabilised plastic and powder-coated SPCC enclosure with improved mounting and a
pole mount kit included.
Wind survivability of 200 km/h (125 mph) with 380 N wind loading.
±24 kV air/contact ESD/EMP protection. Environmental testing includes salt fog (IEC 68-2-11), vibration (IEC 68-2-6), temperature shock (IEC 68-2-14), UV (IEC 68-2-5), and wind-driven rain (ETS 300 019-1-4).
Operating temperature: -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F). Fully
NDAA compliant.
The
PBE-5AC-Gen2 operates across
5150–5875 MHz worldwide delivering
450+ Mbps throughput over 15+ km links with
25 dBi integrated dish gain.
PtP channel sizes of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80 MHz and PtMP channel sizes of 10/20/30/40 MHz provide flexible spectrum utilisation. The
dedicated spectral analysis radio enables real-time RF environment monitoring without interrupting link traffic, and the
dedicated WiFi management radio (2412–2472 MHz) allows remote management via UISP mobile app without impacting the main link. Powered via
passive PoE 2-pair at 8.5W maximum (20–27V DC) with included
24V, 0.5A gigabit PoE adapter.
Additional specifications:
- (1) Power LED, (1) LAN LED, (4) WLAN signal strength LEDs
- CE, FCC, IC, and RoHS certified, fully NDAA compliant
Ideal for
building-to-building links, campus connectivity, enterprise wireless backhaul, ISP infrastructure, remote site connections, and PtP deployments across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring
5 GHz 450+ Mbps PtP bridge performance with 25 dBi integrated dish, 15+ km range, dedicated spectral analysis, dedicated WiFi management, and airMAX ac technology.
