AF60-LR (airFiber 60 Long-Range) is a
high-performance 60 GHz PtP wireless radio designed for extreme long-distance backhaul across East Africa — delivering 2 Gbps throughput at ranges exceeding 12 km through a precision
38 dBi antenna with 1.6° × 1.6° beamwidth and included precision alignment kit. Measuring
⌀413 × 360 mm (⌀16.3 × 14.2") and weighing
1.5 kg (3.3 lb) without or 2.7 kg (6 lb) with mount, the AF60-LR features an
aluminium and UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure with galvanised steel mount, supporting pole diameters of
25.4–76.2 mm (1–3"). Powered by a
Quad-Core ARM® Cortex® A7 with 256 MB memory. Supports both
PtP and PtMP station operating modes in bridge mode. Compatible with Wave AP as a PtMP client.
The
60 GHz main radio operates across
57–71 GHz worldwide with channel bandwidths of
2160 and 1080 MHz and
16QAM and QPSK modulation. The
38 dBi vertically-linear polarised antenna with 1.6° × 1.6° precision beamwidth concentrates RF energy for maximum long-range performance and interference immunity — critical for 12+ km East African links across varied terrain.
WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption secures all wireless links.
Integrated GPS enables GPS synchronisation and precise positioning.
