The U7-Pro-XGS (U7 Pro XGS) is the flagship ceiling-mounted tri-band WiFi 7 access point in the UniFi lineup — engineered for the most demanding enterprise environments where maximum throughput, real-time interference management, extreme client density, and 10 GbE backhaul are non-negotiable requirements. Measuring ⌀215 × 32.5 mm (⌀8.5 × 1.3") and weighing 800 g (1.8 lb), the U7-Pro-XGS ships with a lite mount in stainless steel (SUS304) and galvanised steel (SGCC) for secure ceiling and wall installation across enterprise campuses, hospitals, and large venues throughout East Africa. The UV-stabilised polycarbonate and aluminium alloy enclosure with white/blue system LED delivers a premium, professional finish suited to the most visible enterprise installations. Management via Ethernet. Requires UniFi Network version 9.0.114 and later (White) or 9.1.120 and later (Black).

The U7-Pro-XGS delivers tri-band WiFi 7 (802.11be) with 8 spatial streams across 6 GHz with 2×2 DL/UL MU-MIMO reaching 5.8 Gbps (BW320), 5 GHz with 4×4 DL/UL MU-MIMO reaching 8.6 Gbps (BW240), and 2.4 GHz with 2×2 DL/UL MU-MIMO reaching 688 Mbps (BW40). The 8.6 Gbps on 5 GHz with 4×4 MU-MIMO and EHT 240 MHz channels is the highest 5 GHz throughput in the UniFi AP lineup — delivering multi-gigabit wireless performance to high-density client environments. The 6 GHz band with EHT 320 MHz channel support provides a clean, interference-free spectrum exclusively for modern WiFi 7 clients. Antenna gain of 6 dBi on both 6 GHz and 5 GHz and 4 dBi on 2.4 GHz with maximum TX power of 24 dBm on 6 GHz, 29 dBm on 5 GHz, and 23 dBm on 2.4 GHz — the highest 5 GHz TX power in the UniFi AP lineup — delivers extended, reliable tri-band coverage across 160 m² (1,750 ft²) for 500+ simultaneously connected devices. The defining differentiator of the U7-Pro-XGS is its dedicated spectral scanning radio enabling real-time spectral analysis — continuously monitoring the RF environment across all bands to identify interference sources, optimise channel selection, and maximise performance without disrupting client traffic. Zero-Wait DFS enables instant access to DFS channels without the mandatory 60-second radar detection wait period — significantly expanding available spectrum in dense deployment environments across East Africa. Combined with 802.11r fast roaming, 802.11k Radio Resource Management (RRM), 802.11v BSS Transition Management, band steering, advanced radio management, and Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), the U7-Pro-XGS delivers the most sophisticated RF management capabilities in the UniFi AP lineup.

Wired connectivity is provided via (1) 10 GbE RJ45 uplink port powered by PoE++ (42.5–57V DC) at a maximum of 29W — requiring a PoE++ capable switch port or injector. The 10 GbE uplink ensures the backhaul connection fully matches the combined throughput potential of tri-band WiFi 7 operation at 500+ clients. Captive hotspot portal capabilities include custom branding landing pages, voucher authentication, payment-based authentication, external portal server support, and password authentication. Additional features include guest network isolation, Private Pre-Shared Key (PPSK), WiFi speed limiting, client device isolation, WiFi schedules, RADIUS over TLS (RadSec), and dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLAN.

Maximum power consumption is 29W via PoE++ input (42.5–57V DC). Operating frequencies cover 2400–2483.5 MHz, 5150–5850 MHz, and 5925–7125 MHz worldwide — including full 6 GHz U-NII-5 through U-NII-8 band support. Operating temperature -30°C to 40°C (-22°F to 104°F) with 5–95% non-condensing humidity suits the full range of indoor East African environments.
