This makes it a practical option for stretching coverage between access points in spaces with long, narrow layouts, such as corridors, warehouse aisles, or elongated retail floors.
Dual-band WiFi 7 without the 6 GHz radio Operating across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, the U7 Long-Range reaches up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz and supports 300+ connected devices. Leaving out the 6 GHz radio keeps the unit smaller and less costly than tri-band models, which suits deployments prioritising coverage distance and device density over the additional spectrum that 6 GHz provides.
Compact ceiling profile At Ø175.7 x 43 mm and 448 g, the U7 Long-Range has a smaller footprint than Ubiquiti's flagship ceiling APs, which matters in spaces with lower ceilings or where a more discreet mount is preferred, such as retail interiors or hospitality common areas.
Standard PoE power Unlike higher-stream models that require PoE+ or PoE++, the U7 Long-Range runs on standard PoE, drawing up to 14W. This can simplify deployments on existing PoE switch infrastructure that wasn't specified with PoE+ budgets in mind.
