The
UISP-P (UISP Power) is an
uninterruptible power management system purpose-built for MicroPoP ISP applications — providing 27V DC Power TransPort output with Li-ion battery backup and optional external lead-acid battery support to ensure continuous power delivery to UISP network equipment during East African grid power disruptions. Measuring
289 × 280 × 52 mm (11.38 × 11.02 × 2.05") and weighing
1.4 kg (3.1 lb), the UISP-P features a
polycarbonate and ABS enclosure with included wall-mount kit. Requires
UISP version 1.4.5 and later. Compatible with
UISP Console, UISP Router (with UISP Box), UISP Router Pro, UISP Switch (with UISP Box), and UISP Switch Pro.
The
UISP-P provides
(1) Power TransPort output at 27V DC — delivering
100W with 1 power adapter or 200W with 2 power adapters. The included
115Wh Li-ion rechargeable battery pack (25.2V DC, 7.93A) maintains power during outages. An additional
(1) DC battery port accepts a 24V DC 20A lead-acid battery (not included) for extended backup runtime — connect lead-acid battery only, as other battery types could be hazardous.
(1) 10/100 MbE RJ45 LAN port with
Ethernet and Bluetooth in-band management. Note:
27V DC 4.4A power adapters and 120W Power TransPort Adapter are not included.
Additional specifications:
- Max. power consumption: 3W excluding Power TransPort output and battery charger
- ESD/EMP protection: ±15kV air / ±8kV contact
- Operating temperature: -5°C to 40°C (23°F to 104°F)
- Operating humidity: 5–95% non-condensing
- LED indicators: system status, RJ45 link/activity, Power TransPort on/off
- CE, FCC, and IC certified, fully NDAA compliant
Ideal for
MicroPoP ISP deployments, WISP network power backup, and mission-critical network uptime applications across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring
27V DC Power TransPort UPS output with 115Wh Li-ion battery backup, external lead-acid battery support, and UISP-managed power monitoring for continuous ISP equipment operation during power disruptions.
