The
UP-Sense (UniFi Sense) is a
battery-powered smart multi-sensor delivering comprehensive building intelligence — combining motion detection, environmental monitoring, access sensing, alarm detection, and water sensing in an ultra-compact wireless device requiring no wiring or power infrastructure. Measuring
⌀24 × 83.5 mm (⌀0.9 × 3.3") and weighing just
50.2 g (1.8 oz), the UP-Sense mounts anywhere using the included
adhesive flat wall mount or corner mount — making it deployable across East African properties without any installation work. The
polycarbonate enclosure is discreet and unobtrusive. Managed via
UniFi Protect web application and UniFi Protect iOS and Android mobile apps.
The
UP-Sense integrates eight sensor functions in a single device:
- Motion sensor — detects movement up to 5 m (16 ft)
- Magnetic entry sensor — monitors door or window open/close state
- Accelerometer — detects garage door open/close via tilt and movement
- Temperature sensor — monitors ambient temperature
- Humidity sensor — monitors ambient humidity levels
- Ambient light sensor — detects lighting conditions
- Alarm sound sensor — detects alarm audio events
- Water sensor — included in the 3-pack for leak detection
Up to 1 year of battery life and
Bluetooth 5.0 BLE connectivity via SuperLink or a Bluetooth-supported UniFi Access Point enables completely wireless, infrastructure-free deployment across offices, hotel rooms, server rooms, and residential properties throughout East Africa — with no PoE switch ports or Ethernet cabling required.
