The USW-Flex-Utility (Switch Flex Utility) is a rugged outdoor weatherproof enclosure purpose-built to extend UniFi Switch Flex deployments into harsh outdoor environments across East Africa — enabling reliable PoE switching in locations where standard indoor equipment cannot operate. The enclosure measures 249 × 218 × 60 mm (9.8 × 8.6 × 2.4") and weighs 740 g (1.6 lb), housing the Switch Flex securely with integrated cable management and a screw lock security mechanism to prevent tampering in exposed outdoor locations. The package includes a 60W PoE adapter measuring 118.5 × 63 × 34.7 mm (4.7 × 2.5 × 1.4") weighing 206 g (7.3 oz) and an Ethernet patch cable — providing everything needed for a complete outdoor Switch Flex deployment straight out of the box.

The included 60W PoE adapter delivers 54V at 1.11A supporting a maximum PoE budget of 46W — sufficient to power multiple UniFi access points or PoE devices from the Switch Flex ports in outdoor deployments. The adapter features 4kV surge protection on both differential and common mode — critical protection against lightning-induced power surges in East African outdoor environments where storm activity can be severe. 86%+ efficiency, ≤1% line regulation, and ≤3% load regulation ensure stable, consistent power delivery to all connected PoE devices. Input current maximum of 1.5A with rated voltage of 100–240V AC — compatible with power standards across all East African markets. Output ripple of 200mVpp maintains clean power for sensitive networking equipment.
