The USW-Flex-2.5G-8 (Flex 2.5G) is a flexible, ultra-compact 2.5 GbE managed switch delivering next-generation multi-gigabit switching speeds with maximum deployment versatility across East African small office and distributed network environments. Measuring 212.9 × 76 × 33.5 mm (8.4 × 3 × 1.3") and weighing just 395 g (0.87 lb), the USW-Flex-2.5G-8 supports desktop, wall, DIN rail, and magnetic mounting — adapting to virtually any installation scenario including network closets, under-desk deployments, AV racks, and DIN rail enclosures throughout East Africa. The polycarbonate enclosure and mount keeps the unit lightweight and durable. Requires UniFi Network version 9.0.114 and later.

The USW-Flex-2.5G-8 provides (8) 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports (2.5G/1G/100M/10M) — delivering up to 2.5× the throughput of standard Gigabit ports to each connected device — making it the ideal aggregation switch for WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 access points, NAS devices, and workstations that support multi-gigabit connectivity. The (1) 10 GbE RJ45/SFP+ combination uplink port provides flexible high-speed uplink options — connect via 10 GbE RJ45 (10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100M) for copper uplink or via the 10G SFP+ port (10G/1G) for fibre connectivity to core switching infrastructure. Switching capacity of 60 Gbps with 30 Gbps non-blocking throughput and 45 Mpps forwarding rate ensures wire-speed performance across all ports simultaneously.

Power flexibility is a key differentiator of the USW-Flex-2.5G-8 — it can be powered via included USB-C adapter (5V DC/3A, 4.8–5.2V DC) or PoE+ input (44–57V), enabling deployment wherever a PoE+ switch port or a USB-C power source is available — without requiring a dedicated power outlet.
