The
PBE-5AC-ISO-Gen2 (airMAX PowerBeam 5AC ISO Gen2) is a
5 GHz isolation-design PtP wireless bridge engineered for co-location deployments across East African tower sites where standard dish antennas suffer from mutual interference between co-located radios. The
isolation antenna design — featuring a rear housing with metal-plated interior for enhanced RF shielding — spatially filters out interference, delivering significantly improved noise immunity compared to standard PowerBeam units. An
included protective radome provides additional weather protection. Measuring
420 × 420 × 230 mm (16.5 × 16.5 × 9.1") and weighing
2.2 kg (4.9 lb) in a
UV-stabilised plastic and powder-coated SPCC enclosure with included
pole mount kit.
±24 kV air/contact ESD/EMP protection with improved surge protection. Environmental testing includes salt fog, vibration, temperature shock, UV, and wind-driven rain.
Operating temperature: -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F).
The
PBE-5AC-ISO-Gen2 operates across
5150–5875 MHz worldwide delivering
450+ Mbps throughput over 15+ km links with
25 dBi integrated isolation antenna gain.
PtP channel sizes of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80 MHz and PtMP channel sizes of 10/20/30/40 MHz. The
dedicated spectral analysis radio enables real-time RF monitoring and the
dedicated WiFi management radio (2412–2472 MHz) enables UISP mobile app management. Powered via
passive PoE 2-pair at 8.5W maximum (20–27V DC) with included
24V, 0.5A gigabit PoE adapter.
Additional specifications:
- Power, Ethernet, and (4) signal strength LEDs
- CE, FCC, IC, and RoHS certified
Ideal for
co-location tower sites, high-interference environments, building-to-building links, enterprise wireless backhaul, ISP infrastructure, and noise-sensitive PtP deployments across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring
5 GHz 450+ Mbps PtP bridge performance with isolation antenna RF shielding, improved surge protection, and dedicated management radio.
