The
Wave-MLO5 (Wave MLO5) is a
next-generation WiFi 7-based dual-radio PtP backhaul radio leveraging
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology to bond two independent 5 GHz radios into a single high-throughput logical link — delivering
5+ Gbps total throughput over 100+ km maximum range for East Africa's most demanding wireless backhaul requirements. Measuring
249.3 × 82 × 47.6 mm (9.8 × 3.2 × 1.9") and weighing
575 g (1.3 lb), the Wave-MLO5 features an
aluminium alloy and UV-resistant polycarbonate enclosure with stainless steel strap and UV-resistant polycarbonate universal bracket.
IPX6 weatherproofing and pole mounting for
25.4–50.8 mm (1–2") diameter poles. Powered by a
Quad-core IPQ5322 processor at 1.5 GHz with 1 GB DDR4 memory.
Operating temperature: -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F). Fully
NDAA compliant.
The
Wave-MLO5 uses two independent
2×2 5 GHz radios with 24 dBm maximum TX power each — operating across
5180–5320 MHz, 5500–5700 MHz, and 5745–5825 MHz worldwide.
Radio 1 supports 20/40/80/160 MHz channel bandwidths and Radio 2 supports 20/40/80/160/240 MHz with
channel puncturing for flexible spectrum management. MLO technology combines both radios' capacity for multi-gigabit aggregate throughput significantly exceeding single-radio 5 GHz solutions.
Modulation support spans BPSK through 4096QAM.
(1) 10 GbE RJ45 port and (1) 10G SFP+ port provide flexible high-speed wired backhaul connectivity.
Integrated GPS synchronisation via waterproof GPS connector and
Integrated Bluetooth for UISP app instant setup. The
dedicated spectral analysis radio provides real-time RF monitoring.
WPA3-PSK (AES) encryption. Compatible with
airMAX antenna, airFiber X antenna, UISP Dish, and UISP Horn via the (2) RP-SMA waterproof RF connectors.
Additional specifications:
- Operating mode: PtP bridge mode
- UISP management, ping watchdog, NTP client, antenna alignment, site survey, speed test, traceroute, discovery utility
- FCC, IC, and CE certified, fully NDAA compliant
Ideal for
high-capacity wireless backhaul, ISP core infrastructure, enterprise campus links, mission-critical PtP connectivity, and next-generation wireless deployments across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the wider East and Central Africa region requiring
WiFi 7 MLO dual-radio 5+ Gbps throughput, 100+ km range, 10 GbE and SFP+ connectivity, GPS synchronisation, and broad antenna compatibility.
