The
UISP-R (UISP Router) is a
compact 8-port Gigabit PoE ISP router purpose-built for MicroPoP applications — delivering 27V passive PoE to power field devices, traffic shaping for bandwidth management, automated customer suspension, and OSPF routing for scalable East African ISP network infrastructure. Measuring
210.4 × 95 × 29 mm (8.3 × 3.7 × 1.1") and weighing
600 g (1.3 lb), the UISP-R features a
polycarbonate enclosure and is powered by an
included external 27V DC 4.4A power adapter (24–28V DC supported range). Powered by a
dual-core 880 MHz MIPS1004Kc processor with 512 MB DDR3 memory and 512 MB NAND flash storage. Requires
UISP version 1.4.0 and later.
The
UISP-R provides
(8) GbE RJ45 ports with 27V passive PoE in both 2-pair (15W per port) and 4-pair (30W per port) modes delivering
110W total PoE availability, alongside
(1) 1G SFP port.
±15kV air and ±8kV contact ESD/EMP protection.
Management via Ethernet in-band and Bluetooth BLE.
