U7 In-Wall (U7-IW)

The U7 In-Wall (U7-IW) is a wall-mounted WiFi 7 access point designed for single-room hospitality and residential wireless deployments. This WiFi 7 in-wall AP features 4 spatial streams (2x2 MU-MIMO on both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz) delivering up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz (BW240) and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (BW40). The integrated antennas provide 8 dBi gain (5 GHz) and 4 dBi gain (2.4 GHz) for 115 m² (1,250 ft²) coverage in single-room applications.

The U7 In-Wall supports 200+ simultaneous connected devices with 802.11be (WiFi 7) and backward compatibility with WiFi 6/5/4 standards. The built-in 2.5 GbE switch features 3 × 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports with 1 PoE+ input and 1 PoE output capability for powering downstream devices like IP phones or cameras. PoE powered (42.5-57V DC, PoE+ required for PoE output functionality) enables single-cable installation with 2.5 GbE uplink. Operating temperature range of -30°C to 40°C (-22°F to 104°F) and 5-95% humidity tolerance support diverse installation environments.

Max power consumption of 13W (excluding PoE output) ensures efficient operation. Max TX power of 24 dBm (5 GHz) and 23 dBm (2.4 GHz) provides reliable in-room coverage. Advanced features include wireless meshing, band steering, 802.11v/r/k support, Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), captive portal, PPSK, RADIUS over TLS (RadSec), and 8 BSSIDs per radio. Channel bandwidth support includes HT 20/40, VHT 20/40/80/160, HE 20/40/80/160, EHT 20/40/80/160/240 MHz. Metal wall mount included with polycarbonate and aluminum alloy construction. UniFi Network version 9.0.114+ provides centralized management with Ethernet connectivity.
