The ECS-48-PoE (Enterprise Campus 48 PoE) is an enterprise-grade 48-port Layer 3 Etherlighting™ PoE+++ switch with hot-swappable dual power modules and quad fan modules for maximum-scale high-availability deployments across East Africa. This 1U full-depth rack-mount Layer 3 Etherlighting™ PoE+++ switch delivers:

About the Enterprise Campus 48 PoE (ECS-48-PoE)

The ECS-48-PoE (Enterprise Campus 48 PoE) is an enterprise-grade 1U full-depth rack-mount Layer 3 Etherlighting™ PoE+++ switch engineered for maximum-scale East African enterprise deployments where extreme PoE power delivery, zero-downtime hardware redundancy, and multi-gigabit switching must all operate simultaneously without compromise. Measuring 442.4 × 43.7 × 496 mm (17.4 × 1.7 × 19.5") and weighing 9.46 kg (20.9 lb) without or 9.56 kg (21.1 lb) with mounting brackets, the ECS-48-PoE is designed for 482.6 mm (19") four-post racks with post depths ranging from 650 to 1,000 mm (25.6–39.4"). The SGCC steel enclosure with a 1.3" touchscreen LCM display and Ethernet and system LED indicators delivers a mission-critical data-centre-grade finish. Requires UniFi Network version 9.0.114 and later.

The ECS-48-PoE delivers an industry-defining up to 2,150W total PoE availability in 200–240V AC shared mode across all 48 ports — every port is PoE+++ capable at up to 90W, supporting the highest-power PoE devices including pan-tilt-zoom cameras, digital signage displays, industrial IoT equipment, and next-generation access points. PoE availability by power configuration:
  • 200–240V AC shared mode: 2,150W
  • 100–120V AC shared mode: 1,750W
  • 200–240V AC redundant mode: 950W
  • 100–120V AC redundant mode: 750W

Switching capacity of 920 Gbps with 460 Gbps non-blocking throughput and 684 Mpps forwarding rate ensures wire-speed performance across all 52 ports simultaneously. (4) 25G SFP28 uplink ports provide high-speed connectivity to the Enterprise Campus Aggregation or core infrastructure. Etherlighting™ illuminates all Ethernet and SFP28 ports for visual network intelligence. The 128,000 MAC address table and 8 MB packet buffer support the largest East African enterprise network topologies.

Complete hardware redundancy includes:
  • (2) included hot-swappable 1,200W AC/DC power modules — if one PSU fails, the other maintains full PoE output without interruption
  • (4) included hot-swappable fan modules with one backup fan module — fan replacement without downtime
  • ±30kV/±19kV ESD protection — the highest ESD rating in the UniFi switch lineup, critical for East African environments prone to electrical surges

Layer 3 capabilities include:
