MikroTik CCR2004-16G-2S+PC

The MikroTik CCR2004-16G-2S+PC delivers the same 16-port Gigabit routing with dual 10G SFP+ cages and 4GB DDR4 RAM as its active-cooled sibling — but in a fanless, completely silent passive-cooled enclosure, making it the ideal CCR for offices, studios, and quieter server environments where fan noise is a real concern. Running on a quad-core ARMv8 CPU and RouterOS v7 Level 6, it's up to 3x faster than previous-generation CCR devices, all without a single moving part. For businesses and ISPs across Uganda and Kenya who need serious routing power in noise-sensitive environments, this is the one. DATASHEETS

About the MikroTik CCR2004-16G-2S+PC

The CCR2004-16G-2S+PC is built for environments where noise matters as much as performance. With fully passive cooling and zero fans, it operates in complete silence — making it suitable for open-plan offices, recording studios, client-facing server rooms, and any environment where the hum of active cooling would be disruptive. There is no performance compromise for the silent operation: the quad-core ARMv8-A CPU running at 1.2GHz still delivers up to 3x the performance of the previous CCR1009 generation, handling complex routing, firewall, and QoS configurations for businesses and ISPs across Uganda and Kenya without breaking a sweat.
Like the active-cooled version, the CCR2004-16G-2S+PC uses a split switch architecture with two independent Marvell Amethyst switch chips, each managing eight Gigabit ports with a dedicated 10Gbps full-duplex CPU line. Both 10G SFP+ cages also have their own dedicated CPU connections. The result is a routing platform where no port, group of ports, or uplink link is ever waiting on shared bandwidth — all 18 ports can run at wire speed simultaneously. With 4GB DDR4 RAM, there's substantial headroom for large routing tables, complex firewall rulesets, and high BGP peer counts under RouterOS v7 Level 6.
Unlike the active-cooled model which uses AC power, the CCR2004-16G-2S+PC is powered via DC input (36–57V) through a DC jack or 2-pin terminal — making it well suited for deployments powered by battery backup systems, solar installations, or telecom DC power plants. This is a practical advantage for Ugandan and Kenyan deployments where reliable AC power is not always guaranteed at every site. The compact desktop form factor also means it can be deployed without a rack if needed, adding further flexibility for installations in smaller offices or remote locations.
Simplifi Networks stocks the CCR2004-16G-2S+PC in Uganda and Kenya with local warranty support and business pricing. If you need CCR-class routing performance in a quiet, fanless package — this is the device to specify.
